I just had passion port my cylinders and the shee runs absolutely amazing and his turn around
time is quick I would definitely have another set of my cylinders ported by him. I can pull the wheels
off the ground in 6th gear while sitting on the tank drag racing now tell me that his porting doesn't

     Ok, so the rumors I heard were true.  The motor flat out screams.
The carbs were jetted dead on.   I don't know what it is but I have
power (lots more than stock) from idle and when the powerband hits,
HOLD ON cause it gets hauling.  I can't wait to dune this quad.

   Just thought I would drop a line
and tell you how my port job came
out. Jim at passion racing did it for
me...and all I can say is WOW........I
damn near sh** my pants when the
shee finally hooked up and started
to pull and pull and pull... It runs

      Jim built me a 390 stroker. I have been racing
something since I was 6 years old and have never been on
something that fast. He built my motor before the last short
track national race and that bike would never stop pulling, it
was almost scary how fast that bike is. The way I had him
set-up my motor it has so much torque it is a great tt bike,
also because you dont always have to be on the pipe to get
around the track.
Bottom line, you tell Jim what you want and he will build it.

         Well I got it jetted.  Jim's sizes on the main
and pilot jets were right on, it just took some
adjusting to dial it in.  This thing is a beast.  1st
gear revs out quick still 2nd is a little taller but
when you get to 3rd it just goes and goes 4th is
the same as 3rd and as for 5th and 6th ,well I don't
think on the tracks I race right now I'll even see
them.  Every time you shift a gear it just pulls like
muther.  With what I have rode it about 12 hr I
have found that the power band has become more
controlable for me ,it's not so radical.  Almost like
you start in it and it never comes out of it.  Also, it
is alot more responsive to the throttle.  I have a
little flat track in the back, and after riding it, I also
think it would be a not so bad motor for TT racing.  
I was playing with it yesterday, and it would come
out of the turns with the front wheels off the ground
just digging.  Needless to say, I have found the
one I want to do my motor work

                                        Passion 350 MX port   

   My Objective: To gain loads of acceleration and
usable horsepower with off idle power without the
assistance of clutching and down shifting, horsepower
to provide lift for obstacles such as whoops, off camber
ruts at high and low speeds, blistering pull through deep
sand washes, and just general arm pulling acceleration.

   The Research:  Of course being a member of the
Banshee HQ provides a wealth of great info. I knew I
needed a Stroker, just who was going to build it was my
question.  I also realized that a mild type port wouldn't
produce the results I was after. After phoning and
emailing builders, I had nailed it down to a few choices.  
I'm fortunate to live and ride in the high desert where I
do.  The residents all ride bikes or quads, since my city

borders the national forest, It's to easy to just cross the street and jump into what we call Honda Valley, a place
where any given time I could run into several Banshee's, as it is a popular quad out here.  There are also 4 AMA
District 37 tracks within 20 miles of my house and open Baja courses as well.  Having many friends with Banshee's,
I've been able to ride bikes with almost any mod I can think of.  Jim at Passion Racing Engines sent me a pic of his
work, man was I impressed with the look of his port work. His 12 port design was just what I was after, and he was a
HQ member but not known to me.  I was as concerned with his business practices as I was his motor work, and I
didn't want my bike down for months, nor did I want anything less than what I wanted i.e. bullsh** excuses in the
middle of my build.  I recalled seeing David at Noss in a post say hello to Jim, so I surmised that David knew Jim
outside of the Forums. I contacted David for a reference.  David told me Jim was a great guy and did some of the
finest work he had seen, as well and his motors were winning races, and we all know David, he's a great business
man and a straight shooter. Ji m proved to be that kind of guy as well.  Jim dropped what he was doing, took all my
calls, and responded to all my emails and PM's promptly.  I was very impressed with that.  Jim listened to me
(another plus), he knew I was not concerned with building a dragster for the MX track, it was all about bottom end
and usable yet ridiculous power.  I was after roughly 80+ horsepower.

   The Build:  I took my entire bike to my friends at Action Motorsports in Hesperia.  I have my own business to run
and don't have time to get into that extensive a project.  Jacey worked at Mission Yamaha with Ted, and Shaun, and
his family ride and race built Banshee's, 2 very knowledgeable guys.  They removed my motor, crated it, and sent it
to Jim.  We used UPS, so that worked out well.

   The Parts:  Wiseco long rod crank and Racers choice pistons, Barnett clutch and springs, adjustable timing plate,
Boss intake, PJ 34 carbs, Proflow impellor and some new design 19cc domes that David at Noss was working on.  I
sent Jim the motor with a Noss head and Delta 2 reeds.  Jim did all the work in less than a week including fabricating
me a nice braided throttle cable and the intake boots to fit my stock air box with Proflow adaptor to a single K&N
filter.  Jim also procured all the necessary parts for the build and gave them to me for  cheaper than I could have
got them.

   Break in: Jim sent some non synthetic Honda oil for break-in I mixed a few gallons of 120octane race fuel and did
several heat up and cool down cycles.  I geared it 16/38 at first and rode around my neighbor hood streets, not
wanting to put any drag on the chassis. Even quarter  and half throttle bursts this bike really hauled ass.  Then I
tried a 17/40 just to see what that felt like it reminded me of a really  built RD400 street bike the gears just went on
for ever and my 2 gallons of fuel were gone.

   My First real ride:  I mixed up a tank of Castor 927 at about 24:1, jumped into Honda Valley full on the pipe.  
Jesus I was going way to fast but the 17 pulled like no tomorrow but almost unusable for this terrain, I turned around
and headed home to install my 15 tooth counter sprocket now out to the track. Holy sh** does this thing pull, from
right off idle I snap it back and its gone no clutching from 2mph in 1st it just leaps up and gits.  Entering the track is
a long down hill that goes into the first sweeping turn.  I rolled into the corner half throttle in third, pinned it  and
grabbed for fourth and about sh** my pants.  I then hit the straight and let fourth stretch, the acceleration of this
motor is just  incredible.  I then down shifted to third for a little rhythm section of small whoops, I just completely
skimmed them on the gas.  I don't think my front end hit one of them, since im very used to this gearing I could
easily judge my speed it's not that I was going faster just getting there a hell of a lot quicker.   As I approached the
first jump, its about a 10 foot ramp that kicks you onto a about a 15 degree long down hill with a span of about 35
feet, so its hard to over shoot the ramp.  I just snapped the throttle on the ramp and landed perfect backend first.  I
then rolled it on again getting front end lift all the way down the ramp, this motor makes my trinity MX ported motor
seem weak to say the least.  I continued to pound the track never even reaching full throttle for any length of time.  I
rode around out there for several hours taking small breaks to let her cool down then went home grabbed some
lunch mixed up some 40:1 fuel and filled her back up.  We have a spot we call the "Strip", it's a paved access road
for the workers who maintain the California Aqueduct.   It's straight for a half mile with perfectly bumpless flat dirt on
both sides of it as well so we can dirt drag or street drag.  I rolled out and saw a built raptor dragging a few stock
Honda and Suzuki quads beating the sh** out of them and otherwise playing king of the hill.  So I rode over and said
high to the guys one guy said hey there's a Banshee why don't you race him. So we lined up on the pavement,
(years ago I painted a line across it at 300 feet).  So, we sent a guy down to drop his hand, down went his hand,
and off goes the raptor.  I purposely let him get about 10 feet out before I took off in second, just to really
embarrass him. Then I just pinned it and started grabbing gears he was 100 foot out when I blew by him and I beat
him to the line by a good 40 feet we came back to the circle and he now wanted to try it in the dirt not even knowing
I'm running a -2 swing arm that would again allow me to hand him his ass, the other guys were roaring telling him
that I gave him a head start all in all pretty funny.

   In conclusion:  Passion Racing Engines haul real big ass, come on from the depths of hell, and the 12 port
design is ass kicking.  Jacey who's seen all of Mission Yamaha's port work, and has done half of it himself, marveled
at the job Jim did, and was most  impressed with his turn around time, I personally found Jim to be a great guy, an
expert in his field and a good new friend I would  HIGHLY recommend his service to anyone needing a Mild to Wild
port job, or complete engine build.  His background in 2cycles spans nearly 30 years, and he also has set a few
records with his builds.  His motors are winning races on the tracks and I'm  sure will improve my times greatly.
